Description
I was visiting South Africa and was taken to the site of a former school that had been for young, white girls. When it became clear that the ethics of an all-white school were impossible to justify, and the government would not allow it to be integrated, it was closed and abandoned. This is one of the walls that is now overgrown with ivy and is a symbol for the decay that erodes a culture when truly unjust systems are allowed to continue.
